Javad

January 29, 2012

Javad is a wonderful friend and that’s the only way I can explain his personality.  I met this PhD research fellow of Stanford and NTNU ( Norwegian University of Science and Technology) for the first time less than six months ago and we had so much fun hanging out together. This is probably his last photo in the US before his trip to the his second home country Norway.

Missing the old days

December 13, 2011

In the past 3 years, I have done almost next to nothing street photography. I have been doing street photography and documentary for almost 9 years and I have missed it so much and as soon as get an opportunity , I will start it again. Couple weeks ago, I grabbed my Leica and headed out to shoot in streets. I captured this photo on that day and I can say this might be the best photo that I have made in the last 2 years with a film camera. I like this photo a lot. This is a single shot and not a double exposed photo. Enjoy!

R.I.P Steve Jobs

October 6, 2011

People place flowers and a Fortune Magazine cover in front of Apple headquarters in Cupertino, California on October 5, 2011, after it was announced that Steve Jobs had died at the age of 56. Jobs was the founder and former CEO of Apple that transformed personal computer technology and invented devices such as the iPod, iPhone and iPad. UPI/Mohammad Kheirkhah

Real photography

September 27, 2011

It’s fun going back to the old days before digital cameras. School starts today and I have taken basic photography class for this quarter. This time not to teach but to learn :) – And also would be a great opportunity to test this old Leica M4 again. I have missed photography with film cameras. I have missed real and good photography.

My friend Ali, his wife and I walked in Stanford university’s campus today to find a good spot for the photo-shoot that we are going to have on Monday for Art in Farsi website. He wants to update the old photos of his website which is going to make me busy doing the photo-shoot on Sunday. Here’s a photo of them with natural light.
